Planning a Botswana safari
Botswana protects close to 40% of its land, and limits visitor numbers inside its wilderness areas. That is why a safari here feels private: fewer vehicles, larger concessions, and wildlife that behaves as it always has. Here is how we help guests choose.
When to go
The Okavango floodwaters arrive from May and peak around June to August — the best months for mokoro and water-based safaris, and for concentrated game viewing in Moremi and Chobe as the bush thins out. November to April is the green season: dramatic skies, newborn antelope, exceptional birding, and lower rates. The Kalahari and Makgadikgadi come alive in this same green window.

Our journeys start from around USD 500 per person per day for a guided Okavango mokoro and walking safari, from USD 1,000 per day for a dedicated photographic safari in Moremi, and from USD 2,000 per day for a fly-in itinerary between private Delta and Linyanti concessions. Rates depend on season, party size and camps, so every quote is built by hand.

Most safaris begin in Maun, the gateway town to the Delta, reached via Johannesburg, Cape Town or Gaborone; Kasane serves Chobe, and Victoria Falls sits a short transfer away.
